When the kid is 18 he will be an adult and HE can decide what he wants to do. If he wants to go in the military, he has the choice. Just because the "mom" dosen't want her son in the service, fighting for his country. That kid is not the solution to any problem. There are more important things in the world to worry about. Too many kids in the world anyway.
Sad to say, there are mothers in other parts of the world who hold their sons as innocent as Alex in their laps and pray that someday their sons may strike against the "great satan".
